Aquahub swimmers preparing for the National Swimming Championships in April

The 6th Time Trials of the Season organised by the ASA of Malta took place last Saturday with Aquahub swimmers’ results soaring to new heights. Bagging another win – point wise – amongst 10 other clubs, this young club recorded a total of 67 personal bests across the board. The swimmers were in high spirits, thanks also to the sun shining over the uncovered pool. During these Time Trials Aquahub’s very young swimmers took part in longer/tougher events such as the 400 Individual Medley and the 1500m events for the first time. Most of the fifty three Aquahub swimmers taking part in these Time Trials have been toiling hard since the beginning of the training season and thus they are looking forward to peak and see validation for their hard toils at Tal-Qroqq pool at the forthcoming National Championships. The encouragement from the stands also helped boost the morale and performance of the swimmers who also pushed their swimming mates from the deck.

Coaches Julian Harding and Kairee Farrugia are happy leading into the Nationals in 3 weeks time with the clubs spirit high.
