AquaHub Masters

AquaHub Swimming Club strives to promote Master swimming in the Maltese Islands. Through structured programs revolving around stroke mechanics, we make great efforts in seeking out the untapped potential within the athlete.

Our goal is to aspire people to begin their journey as an athlete and compete in the Swim-Run/Triathlon/Open-water events both Nationally and Internationally.

AquaHub Master Levels

Beginners

The Beginners class is suitable for those who need to develop swimming basics such as stroke form and breathing, to swimmers who tire after a few lengths and need help improving their strokes. The goals are specifically tailored to you and your desired outcome.

  • Duration: 1 hour

  • Coverage: 500 – 1500 m

  • Attendance: 1 – 2 times

Entry Level 1

This class works towards learning how to swim more effectively, through stroke correction, technique cues, skills and drills. These sessions help to improve basic skills and water confidence, tailored to meet your needs.

  • Duration: 1 hour

  • Coverage: 800 – 1500 m

  • Attendance: 1 – 3 times

Entry Level 2

This group works on further developing and perfecting the basic principles of the stroke. The session is solely based on stroke mechanics, whilst increasing distance, allowing the individual to learn and build confidence in the water to swim further.

  • Duration: 1 hour

  • Coverage: 1200 – 2000 m

  • Attendance: 1 – 3 times

Entry Level 3

This group works towards improving the ability of every swimmer to move through the water with ease, for further improvements to attain the individual’s set objectives. This group begins to train different systems through aerobic and anaerobic exercises, to improve participants overall swimming fitness.

  • Duration: 1 hour

  • Coverage: 1400 – 2200 m

  • Attendance: 1 – 3 times

Level 1

This group continues to build on the different training systems developed in the entry level 3, while adding more volume to their training. These sessions aid in increasing the swimmers overall swimming capacity.

  • Duration: 1 – 1.15 hour

  • Coverage: 1800 – 2600 m

  • Attendance: 2 – 4 times

Level 2

This group reinforces the stroke through a series of drills. The athlete begins to make adequate preparation for Swim-Run/Triathlon and Open-Water events.

  • Duration: 1 – 1.15 hour

  • Coverage: 2200 – 3000 m

  • Attendance: 2 – 4 times

Level 3

This group fine tunes the athletes stroke to maximize efficiency whilst increasing the endurance and speed required to compete both Nationally and Internationally in the Swim-Run/Triathlon/ Open-Water events.

  • Duration: 1 – 1.5 hour

  • Coverage: 3200+

  • Attendance: 3 – 5 times
