Learn to swim
One way of ensuring safety in the water is by taking swimming lessons from an early age along with exposing children to water often. The benefits of swimming are widely known for adults and children alike, but for children in particular, learning to swim has added benefits:
- Boost confidence through improvement in the water
- Your child will learn about water safety in and around water
- Swimming is a great way to exercise
- Earlier development of physical skills including hand-eye coordination and muscle ton
- Enhances social and personal skills
Swimming lessons are also highly beneficial for children over the age of five as it enhances their knowledge of safety around water as well furthering their skills and stroke development.
We also recognise that not everyone had access to swimming lessons as a child, and that learning to swim as an adult can be a daunting experience. Our coaches take on a supportive and encouraging role to give adults the confidence and opportunity to learn an important life skill.
At Aquahub, our learn to swim programme has been carefully designed taking vital elements into consideration like water safety, water confidence and enjoying the water. The programme is broken down into 3 learning levels, each of which has a set criteria. More information about these levels can be found below.
HOW TO GET STARTED
Getting started is simple. To join our programmes, book by emailing us at aquahubmalta@gmail.com. The first session will serve as an assessment of your child’s ability. Once we understand their level/ability, we will assign your child/children to the best-suited class for their swimming development.
